The brand-new ride at Happy Valley in Shanghai is about to start testing. The structure, track, track steel, trains, … everything’s done! Chad and Larry will soon be on-site to assist with the testing. Here are some beautiful shots from the M&V crew.
A little refresher stats on this twisted wonder wouldn’t hurt.
- 108 feet (33m) tall
- first drop of 104 feet (32m)
- 3,819 feet (1164m) of twisted track
- top speed of 56 mph (90 km/h)
- ten track crossovers
- two road crossovers

Hey guys–looking great! Are those trains just like the ones found on The Voyage?
The ride will have two trains, right?
PS how will the Transfer track work?
Thanks, Asa
Cool! I see the dive machine in the background is almost done too
beautiful ride guys, looks great
Six Flags Magic Mountain should of have you guys build this awesome rollercoaster instead of the crap terminator salvation.
James, although we are partial to our rides’ designs, wouldn’t you say that it’s a little premature to say something like that?
I’m doing a blog post about the coaster for a local Shanghai blog, would it be ok to use the images?
Lawrence, You have our permission to use our photos. However, we used and noted photos from Martin & Vleminckx, so you should probably check with them about their photos. What is the blog address?
